    Ethnic Oud is Alhambra's 2022 oriental woody Eau de Extrait, built on a pepper, bergamot, and oregano opening, a labdanum, opoponax, and frankincense heart, and an agarwood, leather, and sandalwood base — a dupe of Amouage Interlude Man (~$350) at around $22. Pepper, bergamot, and oregano open with a sharp, spicy, herbal burst — black pepper giving an assertive kick, bergamot adding a bright citrus edge, and oregano threading in a distinctive earthy herbal quality that sets this apart from any standard oriental. Labdanum, opoponax, and frankincense build a warm, resinous, incense-heavy heart — labdanum giving dark amber warmth, opoponax adding a sweet balsamic spiciness, and frankincense threading in a clean, smoky depth that gives the composition its exotic character. Agarwood, leather, and sandalwood close with a deep, dark woody base — agarwood giving a rich, slightly smoky oud quality, leather adding a polished edge, and sandalwood threading in a creamy warmth with patchouli deepening the earthy dry-down.
